City leadership has approved using a portion of the City's CDBG funding to implement an Affordable Homeowner Rehabilitation Grants Program (“Program”) to help low-moderate income households – who would not otherwise have funds to repair health and safety items in their homes. Please be aware that this Program provides grants for health and safety home repairs, such as plumbing, water heaters, furnaces, electrical, roofs and does not include luxury items like air conditioners or aesthetic upgrades.
Effective July 1, 2019, the City of Jurupa Valley's first round of housing rehabilitation grants will become available. In accordance with the various CDBG planning documents adopted by the City, the housing rehabilitation program will provide five (5) grants to individual homeowners for up to $10,000 each. Funding is available on a first-come, first-served basis.
Application Procedure & Important Documents
The Program is available to families that are owner/occupants. City will check that title matches name(s) on application – and meet the following CDBG 2019 income limits:

*In addition to ordinary income - a percentage of assets are included in total income (i.e. stocks, bonds, cash in savings and checking accounts, etc.).
