City Leaders are actively monitoring the COVID -19 epidemic, working closely with the Riverside County Department of Public Health and other agencies.  The lead national agency is the Federal Government who is working closely with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). The lead local agency for this public health matter is the Riverside County Department of Public Health. As of Saturday, March 7, 2020, Riverside University Health System – Public Health began to report cases of COVID-19 in Riverside County. For the latest updates regarding confirmed COVID-19 cases in Riverside County, please visit their website.

Please note, this is a rapidly evolving situation and the risk assessment may change daily, if not hourly.

In accordance with Governor Gavin Newsom’s Executive Order N-25-20, the City of Jurupa Valley advises residents to avoid non-essential gatherings to protect public health and slow the spread of COVID-19 (coronavirus). If you must attend a gathering, please implement social distancing of six feet per person. Gatherings of individuals who are at higher risk for severe illness from COVID-19, specifically our senior community and those with underlying health conditions, should be limited to no more than 10 people, while also following social distancing guidelines.

The City of Jurupa Valley will formally alert all residents of the status of any upcoming City-hosted gatherings, including public meetings and events. All residents are encouraged to follow the City of Jurupa Valley’s social media accounts
