Congratulations Rocio Lopez

Please join us in congratulating Rocio Lopez as this month's Employee Spotlight recipient. Rocio has been with the City of Jurupa Valley for seven and a half years. She currently serves as a Senior Planner managing large-scale industrial, residential, and commercial projects. As a Senior Planner, she also supervises and assists the City's Junior Planners, as well as participates in City Council and Planning Commission meetings.

Now, for a little Q&A.

Q: What are the most rewarding projects you have been involved in?
Any project that benefits the community. For example, adding shopping centers, restaurants, jobs, and beautification.

Q: What is the best advice anyone has given you?
Be focused at what you do - be detail-oriented and a great communicator!

Q: What do you enjoy most about your job?
Working with talented, enthusiastic, and passionate people.

Q: What is one accomplishment at work you are most proud of?
Being an effective communicator, to be the leader our Planning team needs.

Outside of work, you can catch Rocio at the beach, watching her kids play soccer, hiking, traveling, and going to Las Vegas.
