Consolidated Plan Community Workshop

We want to hear about your community’s greatest needs at a workshop on Tuesday, December 6, 2022, at 6:00 p.m. at City Hall. With your help, the City will identify the needs and priorities for the Consolidated Plan and determine how Federal funds will be used on citywide issues, such as affordable housing, homelessness, infrastructure, community needs, and economic development needs.

City staff will provide a summary of surveys completed by residents and other stakeholders. You will have an opportunity to provide input and assist in setting priorities.

Local Hazard Mitigation Plan Survey

We are updating the Local Hazard Mitigation Plan (LHMP) and looking for your input. The LHMP is the city's primary reference document when preparing for emergencies and is referenced as emergencies unfold.

The plan identifies the City’s hazards, reviews and assesses past disaster occurrences, estimates the probability of future events, and sets goals to mitigate potential risks to reduce or eliminate long-term risks to people and property from natural and man-made hazards.

Blood Drive: Monday, December 12

Donating blood is essential in helping patients survive surgeries, cancer treatment, and traumatic injuries. Stop by City Hall on Monday, December 12, between 12:00 p.m. and 4:00 p.m. to donate. Schedule an appointment by clicking here or by calling 1(800) 879-4484.

Pedley Town Center Visioning Survey

As we develop the Pedley Town Center Plan, we are looking for your thoughts on the future of the historic Pedley area. This Plan will guide development and public improvements to create a cohesive center that will anchor this historic area of the city and help solidify its identity within Jurupa Valley.

The survey is one opportunity for you to share your current impressions and experiences as well as your vision and ideas for the future of the Pedley Town Center area. Take the survey today.

This planning process will provide several opportunities for you to share your impressions and experiences as well as your vision and ideas for the future, including the Pedley Town Center Visioning Survey and upcoming public workshops with the City Council and Planning Commission in the first quarter of 2023.

Pavement Rehabilitation Project Construction

The Citywide Pavement Rehabilitation Project kicked off on Monday, December 5, with improvements to Limonite Ave. The project includes the following areas:

1. Limonite Ave. (Felspar St. to Pedley Rd.) -  The contractor will install new curb ramps and repair sidewalks along the route. Construction schedule:
   • Dec. 5 - 9: Concrete work
   • Dec. 12 - 23: Pavement work
2. Jurupa Rd. (Agate St. to Galena St.)
3. Agate St. (Jurupa Rd. to Mission Blvd.)
4. Rubidoux Blvd. (60 freeway to 29th St.)
