City Hall Closure: Monday, May 29

In observance of Memorial Day, City Hall will be closed on Monday, May 29, and reopen Tuesday, May 30, at 8:00 a.m.

Jurupa Valley Community Pro Rodeo: June 9 & 10  

The Rodeo is returning to Jurupa Valley! AK Bucking Bulls presents the Jurupa Valley Community Pro Rodeo on June 9 and 10 at the Rick Thompson Arena. Gates open at 5:00 p.m., and the rodeo begins at 7:00 p.m.

Community Mobilehome Meeting: Saturday, June 3

State Senator Roth, Chair of the Senate Select Committee on Manufactured Home Communities, will be holding a Community Mobile Home meeting on Saturday, June 3, at the Jurupa Valley City Hall Council Chambers, from 10:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.

A panel of legal experts and state officials will discuss issues and answer questions related to mobilehomes in California, including:

• Legal service providers
• Mobilehome residency law protection program
• Health and safety code and pak inspections
• Free 2023 mobilehome residency law handbooks

Shops at Jurupa Valley Update

The first building at the Shops at Jurupa Valley is currently underway! In-N-Out Burger, which recently started its construction, will be a 3,800-square-foot building with a 750-square-foot outdoor dining area. 

The drive-thru will have a capacity for approximately 30 vehicles at one time, and will include lush landscaping and abundant lighting.

LEAP Application

Attention Jurupa Valley Small Businesses! We are administering grants at $10,000 per qualifying business through the City's Local Economic Assistance Program (LEAP). For the past two years, the City Council has funded direct financial assistance to local businesses, awarding over $600,000 in grants to local businesses.

Small businesses eligible for assistance are those that experienced negative economic impacts or disproportionate impacts of the pandemic and meet the definition of “small business” (no more than 50 employees). Applications will be accepted, on a first-come, first-serve basis, until all funds have been awarded.

Housing Rehabilitation Program

Do you need to repair your home but lack the funds to do so? We are now accepting applications for the Housing Rehabilitation Program, in which qualified homeowners can receive home improvement grants of up to $10,000.

Funds can be used to improve health and safety conditions (e.g., roofing, plumbing, electrical) and eliminate code violations. To learn more about eligibility requirements and how to apply, click here.
