The City of Jurupa Valley is pleased to announce the 8th Annual State of the City. This year, there will be TWO events.
Businesses: Businesses are invited to the "Community of Businesses" event on Tuesday, September 27, from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at Skyview Event Center. Learn more about the event here.
Residents: Residents are invited to the "Community of Communities" event on Thursday, September 29, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. It will be an evening of networking with Mayor Chris Barajas, City dignitaries, City staff, and community stakeholders. This FREE event will be held at Patriot High School. Mayor Barajas will provide a special address celebrating Jurupa Valley's accomplishments, highlighting upcoming projects, and much more. Join the Community Development Advisory Committee: Apply by Sept. 27 at 5:00 p.m.
|
|
|
|
|
We are looking for Jurupa Valley residents to serve on the Community Development Advisory Committee. The individuals selected will fill two vacancies in the committee and meet on an as-needed basis.
Committee duties include reviewing applications for Community Development Block Grant funding and providing the City Council with recommendations regarding the allocations of such funding.

Join the Planning Commission: Apply by Sept. 27 at 5:00 p.m.

|
Apply today to serve on the City's Planning Commission. This vital commission reviews and makes final decisions on many types of planning applications, including land use permits, subdivisions, and environmental review. The Planning Commission makes recommendations to the City Council on planning applications that require Council approval. Community Clean-Up: October 9

Join us Sunday, October 9, from 7:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. for our District 5 Community Cleanup Event. Volunteers will be collecting litter from pre-selected locations. Please note that volunteers must provide their own transportation from the check-in area to the clean-up locations. Register today by completing a form.

Dia de los Muertos: October 15
|

Presented by Reach Out and Healthy Jurupa Valley, join us Saturday, October 15, from 11:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. for Dia de los Muertos. This family-friendly festival will include altars, artist exhibits, food booths, live music, and much more. The event will take place at Rancho Jurupa Regional Park (4800 Crestmore Road).

Community Health Fair: October 16

Join us at the Jurupa Valley Community Health Fair on Sunday, October 16, from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.The event will feature free blood pressure screenings, physician consolations, eye check-ups, dental check-ups, EKG, blood glucose testing, hemoglobin testing, diabetes testing, and cholesterol testing.
The fair will be located at USM Food Pantry at 5626 Mission Blvd.

Bulky Item and E-Waste Collection: October 22

|
The City of Jurupa Valley is partnering with Burrtec to provide an opportunity for Jurupa Valley residents to dispose of their E-waste, green waste, solid waste, and bulky items for free. The event is on Saturday, October 22, from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at Patriot High School (4355 Camino Real).
